No Sickness in Bali

In three weeks of surfing Indonesia I didn’t get any coral cuts. Even more surprising was the fact that I did not get sick from any of the food that I ate during my entire visit. Last year I was crippled by a plate of gado-gado (Bali’s favorite daytime food). Two weeks of stomach pains, flu and fever like symptoms, as well as inconvenient bathroom stops in some seriously “Indonesian style” toilets, was the result of eating what I think was spoiled cabbage.

This year I did not get sick at all. I took daily doses of a formula Spice from Island Spice made up before my trip. Everyone I traveled with got sick at some point. Several of the boys were laid low by the stomach and bowel disorder of the sort I experienced last year, which is referred to as “Bali belly”. Others just got colds and headaches. After meals, someone or another would run off in search of relief from dietary inspired chaos. Others were also experiencing delirium and wicked nightmares from malaria pills they were taking. None of these things happened to me this year!

At one point a guy I shared a room with was feeling ill, so I gave him a dose of the potion. He was drinking beers with the rest of us that night, his symptoms alleviated.

For anyone that’s considering seeing Spice Prince at Island Spice, all I can say is just do it! I went to see Spice through recommendation by a friend. I had been having stomach problems for over four years, ever since my traveling through Asia, where I had food poisoning several times. After seeing various doctors and trying all sorts of ‘cleansers’ over the years, nothing seemed to have me satisfied. In fact, I felt disgruntled and frustrated every time.

Apart from the fact that Spice actually took the time to listen to how I felt, he took a genuine interest in my health, emotionally, and physically—something you never get from doctors these days. After my first consultation with him he gave me a package of mixed herbs to cleanse and replenish as well as a remedy for my allergies. I also followed his suggestion of “live foods for a live body”. After about 3 weeks of the herbs and live foods I felt better and clearer than I can honestly say I have ever felt in my life. My skin looked healthy and my eyes were extremely clear and bright. Spice was out of town and my staph was so bad I tried going on antibiotics and achieved zero results. In fact, the antibiotics had made me worse. I finally got in touch with Spice via E-mail and he told me where to find a certain plant, what it looked like and how to use it. He said it would prevent me from getting worse until he were to arrive home soon and mix something up for me at his research center. When he returned home, he put a specific herbal remedy together for me. Within four days, all symptoms dissipated.

I have full confidence in Spice’s knowledge of herbs and different methods for healing naturally. His methods are simple and easy to understand and incorporate into your life. In the fall of 1995, I met Spice Prince when he was doing a repair job on the roof of the person’s house I was dating at the time. Our friend who owned the roofing repair business that Spice worked for informed us about this young kid Spice and his knowledge and abilities in natural healing. We approached Spice to see if he thought he might be able to help me with all these problems I’ve been dealing with for so long.

My medical doctor had me taking 50 milligrams, which is a small amount, of a prescription anti-depressant called Ascendin. I explained to Spice that I had tried on several occasions to wean myself off this anti-depressant prescription drug but to no avail. This drug was part of me for 8 years—I even went to my medical doctor numerous times on my knees in tears literally begging him to please get me off this anti-depressant. My medical doctor said there was nothing he could do.

Harry, the man I was dating at the time, had been a pharmacist for over 30 years. He’d never heard of anything or anyone doing the things that Spice was known for doing. He asked Spice just what it was that he was going to do to help me get off this pharmaceutical. Harry was in awe with Spice's knowledge and simplicity of explanation as to what was necessary to help me get off this drug. Amazed at this 23 year old kid, Harry agreed 100% with Spices’ words of wisdom and knowledge of the human body and then gave him the O.K. to work with me.

Spice educated me on eating a specific diet consisting of whole foods that I needed to adhere to, as well as providing me with different mixtures of plants he got from the woods and specific instructions on how to take them. This program was to be done religiously for about 3-4 weeks.

Well, to make a long story short, I stuck to the program not knowing what to expect. One of the side-effects I was experiencing from the anti-depressant was that I had absolutely no feeling what so ever in my chest regions, entire stomach area, and lower abdomen. On the third day of the program I regained 100% of all feelings in these areas of my body that I had lost for so many years. Within five days, I was completely off the Ascendin. To be honest, I can’t explain or put into words how amazing I felt from the herbs Spice gave me—much less ever feeling this wonderful in my entire life. As of today, I have never needed an anti-depressant again! I am pharmaceutical drug free! To people who would like confirmation of the gift of healing Spice posses, I was dealing with an ear infection for a period of eight months or longer. Waiting tables at my job became extremely frustrating due to the fact that I could not hear the orders from those at my tables. About 80% of the hearing in my right ear was lost. I tried three different courses of four types of antibiotics back to back. A little improvement was experienced, but after surfing it would get infected again and my bothersome problem would return.

I really felt desperate. My friends kept telling me to go see this guy named Spice at Island Spice. Spice first used an ear candle to pull out a large amount of “yuck” that built up. Dear Spice,

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me with my long and dreaded ear problem. This is a testimonial statement for Spice Prince and his Traditional Herbalist practices. I Kim Sosnick have experienced problems with pain in my ears; many ear infections that needed antibiotic drops to clear up, internal itchiness and not so pleasant discharge draining from them. At times I can not hear properly out of one or both my ears. This past winter in Maui I was fortunate enough to meet Spice, a Traditional Herbalist among other things, and set an appointment with him. When I met with him he gazed at me and into my eyes as well as asking me certain questions and telling me specifics about my lifestyle and history. He informed me about energy and what the effects can be from carrying around negative energies in the body and mind. He could see the energy and stress that I carried in my stomach that caused problems like acid reflux, constipation, and a constant slight uncomfortable tenderness in that area. There were many other things he picked up on and got out of me from looking me over and reading my eyes. These problems are just a few things I was aware of, but wasn’t sure what I could do to fix them without taking prescription drugs. First, he used ear candles and then put some type of herbal drops in my ears to clear them up. My ears cleared up a tremendous amount immediately after the treatment. I returned a few days later to have more drops put in my ears to which had already improved by at least 90%. I went to see Spice at Island Spice for a horrible kidney stone experience that was causing me a great deal of intense pain and discomfort that didn’t seem to be moving as fast as I would have liked. One odd experience with him is that he looked into my eyes and then pushed his finger into my stomach region to show me where the stone had moved to. Sure enough, this is where I had currently been experiencing pain. He took the time to explain to me in theory what may have caused the stone to begin with. Spice gave me a bunch of capsules to take before bed with a lot of water that he said would flush out the bowels and takes the pressure off the kidneys and lower abdomen region. Oh my god! Did it ever work-and then some. I also started taking a mixture of herbs as well that he created to combine with water and olive oil. He stated the olive oil would help lubricate the urethra tubes to make life more comfortable when passing the stone. The stone passed in as little as three days.

Following the passing of the stone, I experienced the opportunity to do an energy session with Spice. When I first saw Spice about my problem with the stone he told me the stone most likely formed on account of energy that I was holding in my stomach. To be honest, I thought he was way out in left field so to speak in relation to any thing being wrong with my stomach. My stomach seemed perfectly fine. During the energy session, I went into my body and saw many forms of energy blockages that kind of exploded and released out of my body. It was an amazing yet intense experience which had me seeing all kinds of colors, visions, and feeling tremendous amounts of heat and energy in different areas of my body. Just as Spice previously pointed out about something going on with my stomach; during the session, I felt a huge wad of energy and uncontrollable emotions coming out of my belly region. At one point, I could barely tolerate the feeling of what felt like a flame of fire coming out of the tip of my nose. This disappeared within a few minutes. After the session Spice giggled and called me Pinocchio and explained to me that when I was young I used to tell little lies to be accepted by others which was totally correct. This was why my nose felt like it caught on fire.

Immediately after the session it felt as if I had the body of a child again. I felt as if I were floating and my sense of sight, smell, and hearing were at an all time alertness that I haven’t felt in many years. Since Spice worked with me, I’ve had no problems with kidney stones or any discomfort in my stomach.

I was experiencing the misery of pain due to an intensely annoying and bothersome toothache one night. Some of my friends came to the door and “Spice”, who was in town, was with them. Expressing to them the pain I was in, I didn’t want to be rude, but told them I couldn’t hang out and I just wanted to lie down. “Spice” kept asking me for a flashlight and I just wanted to be alone with my pain and misery. So I got a flashlight for “Spice” and he walked across the street into the woods. He came back after a few minutes and gave me a palm full of some type of tiny little leaves he said he got off of a tree. Handing me the leaves, he told me to just take one leaf and bite it in the area where my toothache was bothering me. The pain I was dealing with went away instantly. I thanked “Spice”, told everyone good-bye, and went to bed with a painless smile. Around 3 o’clock, I woke up with a little bit of pain and chewed another leaf. The next morning, my tooth problem never bothered me again.

I am writing about the experiences I had from being worked with by Spice Prince at Island Spice. He did two of his energy sessions with me, both of which I experienced dramatic results from. After the first session with Spice, I felt as light as a feather. It was as if a ton of weight were lifted off my body and spirit. This feeling of being light and free went on for weeks. Intrigued by my results from my first energy session with Spice, I connected with him later on to experience a second session. THE DARKNESS OF LARIUM
I’ve been hearing about this Island Spice guy over in Hawaii for about four or more years now. People have been telling all these stories on how this guy can heal about any condition with his knowledge of plants and his energy alone. Fate has its way, and fortunately I was introduced to him on my first day on Maui. He had just returned from some world traveling gathering herbs and surfing. Over the course of my being on Maui for a month, we were finally able to connect.

By the time I were able to meet with Spice my entire life was engulfed in this darkness and pain that I did not understand nor know how to deal with. My subconscious begin to think the only way for me to end this darkness, this pain, and this depression would be to take the big swim or paddle out at Jaws and let mother nature have her way with me.

Tracing back in time, all this darkness came about one year ago when I journeyed over to Indonesia for three months. Getting into the groove, “Bali style”, it became time to make way over to the island of Sumbawa for awhile. As all surfers know, once on the island of Sumbawa, the word malaria becomes too frequent of a word. I had with me a pharmaceutical drug called Larium to guard me against the “bug”. I was hesitant and did not want to take it. My intuition and body simply quivered when I thought about that little white pill. After my first week, rumors begin to surface about a few surfers coming down with malaria. I began to panic; thinking I had no choice, I took my first little pill of Larium.

The first three to four days on the Larium seemed like any other day. I hadn’t a single worry to my name. Everything was life in paradise scoring the most perfect waves of my life. Waves that all surfers dream about on a daily bases. As week two rolled around with not a care in the sky or tremor of worry in my bones I popped another pill. Everything in my life from that point on changed. There was a complete shift. I had no energy what so ever…..completely drained, felt like a zombie. Dark bad dreams became the “norm” for me. This strange feeling of living consistently in fear engulfed me and sucked me in. This HEAVY depressing feeling had me literally thinking I was going to go absolutely insane.

By the end of the second week I was tripping so hard in my head-space I was ready to leave and go back to Bali. I just wanted to get the hell away from Sumbawa. I began freaking out thinking I was under some kind of cursed voodoo spell and it was getting to me so badly I thought I was going crazy.

I was finally able to make it back and return to Bali. This set me at ease a little bit allowing me to mellow out some even though I still very much had this heavy feeling of darkness inside. Thoughts of trying to comfort my self by attempting to brainwash my fears away kept trying to coax me into believing I was only homesick; and this was causing all the horrible feelings and thoughts I were experiencing. But, I couldn’t fight it; I knew something was different and didn’t know what to do about it. All I could do was pray that it would all go away and leave me alone some day soon.

Returning home from Indonesia……the feeling, the darkness, and the pain was still very much alive. It all seemed to be strengthening as well. My vitality and overall energy and love for life were slowly dwindling down that dark and lifeless bottomless pit. All I could ever think about from time to time was how everything shifted after my encounter with that little white pill called Larium. From that point on, I’ve never been my happy-go-lucky self.

All of which leads me to Spice at Island Spice on the island of Maui. My chill session with him lasting a few hours in his office felt like the first feeling of nurturing I had in so long. He had me feeling at ease and comforted as I watched him do his thing….asking me questions, looking through me and into my eyes, and mixing all these herbs together in a mystical way. Just the smell alone of his office seemed to comfort me as well and set me free from my pain. A few drops of this and that under my tongue and a few puffs off his pipe of a smooth and pleasant herbal blend set me at ease striking me with the whole simple reason as to why I came to Maui. Maui called me here for one very clear reason, to experience this man and his healing. At the end of our session, I was excited about many things. First was my new friendship with Spice. Secondly, I was walking out of his office with the remedy for helping my condition in hand. And most importantly, the fact that all this darkness I have been carrying in my soul was on its way out.

Upon returning home, I immediately began the herbal program and adhered to it like clock work…….didn’t skip a beat. During the first week I already felt more awake and alive again. At one point in time during the second week my body flushed so much junk that it’s too disgusting and unbelievable to express. I felt a burst of light in my life! Something totally shifted. The heavy pain of darkness in my heart and head seemed to have gone away. Oh my God! I shit out my darkness!!! That’s kind of how it felt. What!!! I had not felt like this in so long…..so alive! A new lust for life like when I was a kid came forth…..like I was reborn all over again! All the people in my life also noticed the difference. They saw it in my eyes and in the joy that radiated from my spirit. Finishing up the program around the fourth week left me with but only one thing to say: “Thank you—Spice. Thank you!” Thank you for your time, your knowledge, your wisdom and your love. That heavy darkness which seemed to be leading me to my death is now gone. It is away from me and out of my life. Every day feeling my strength redeemed to its potential I acknowledge the fact that this man has been blessed with amazing skills. I recommend to anyone who may have experienced or felt like I did to put your faith and trust in Spice and his advise, knowledge of herbs, methods to health, vitality, and healing. Not to mention, his love for all is priceless.
